Robbie Manis

Mr. Manis is finance professional and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in a variety of finance and business capacities. He obtained his chartered accountancy designation in 1993 and served as a tax specialist with Ernst & Young.  In 1996, Mr. Manis commenced employment with Newcourt Credit Group Inc., a company whose shares were publicly traded in Toronto and New York.  In that capacity, he served as Vice President in the project finance division.  He later served as Vice President in the government and infrastructure finance group at TD Securities.  Mr. Manis then co-founded a Toronto-based private investment bank that specialized in creating tax-advantaged investment vehicles to finance companies in the film, manufacturing and professional sports industries.

In 2004, Mr. Manis joined a private Montreal-based merchant bank that invests in a wide array of real estate ventures, operating businesses and public and private securities. In 2006, Mr. Manis became the Chief Financial Officer and a director of Big Stick Media Corporation, a provider of information relevant to the North American sports market. In 2014, he became a principal of Don Best Sports Corporation, a company involved in the creation and dissemination of real time betting odds for a wide variety of sporting events. The company was successfully sold to a large public company in 2018.

Mr. Manis currently engages in a number of business initiatives spanning industries as varied as medical diagnostics, healthcare treatment, industrial, commercial, residential and hospitality real estate and electronic gaming. He brings to each venture significant knowledge and experience in the financial, operational and commercial law aspects of the business.
